I Have Not Fallen off the Face of the Earth April 29, 2008

Really,  I haven’t.

We don’t have internet right now.

We’ve had more important uses for our monies lately.

(More important than the internet?  For shame!)

No really, we did.

We bought a van a while back that needed some repairs…we just got it back and I love it!

Plus there was other stuff…gas(for home and vehicles…$3.75 a gallon…ridiculuos!)…electricity…rent…food…you know, the pesky little things that get in the way. 

So anyway, I’m here.

I hope to be back on this weekend.  We’ll see.

A quick update…

The garage sale went well, we were busy, but it was well worth it.

The Autism walk was fantastic!  There were a ton of people there and we all had a great time.  Doug and I have decided to make this an annual event for our family.

I’ve been awarded! Missy at Bees and Boo Boos gave me this lovely award…

Thanks Missy, you’re a doll!

I’m spreading the love to Mamageek and PB&J In a Bowl, you guys (well gals, really) never cease at putting a smile on my face, and I love ya’s for that.

Sniff, sniff.

I’m getting emotional, now.

I hope to do a big update, soon.

Hmmm.

What to write about?

My weekend?

Cold.  Rainy.  Little bit of snow yesterday morning.

Cleaned house.  Prepared for upcoming garage sale.

Not really interesting.

The kids?

Aaron and Taylor are back to school.

Relishing the “quietness” of only having 2 kids (Emma and Miss K) here in the morning (instead of 5).

We’re back to normal there.

Aaron starts baseball practices tonight.

Opening day is May 3.

He can’t wait.

Neither can I…more practice with the camera!

We’ll be busy-busy then.

I saw my sister on Friday.

She’s now 32 weeks preggers.

Not much longer, now.

I can’t wait to meet my neice!

The Walk about Talk About Autism Walk is fast approaching. 

I am really excited to be able to participate in this event. 

I still have 2 weeks to collect pledges.

The weather is going to warm up nicely this week. 

That will help tremendously with my garage sale prep that I will be doing all week.

The sale is this weekend and it is going to be a doosy.

(Hangs head in shame) Yeah, I almost called it it that.

More like “Monday Morning Writer’s Block”.

spring break is ending

it has been a long, long week

but it has been fun

 

loved seeing my kids

even though they drove me nuts

i told you they would

 

will miss sleeping in

until 8 or 8:30

back to 6AM

 

farewell to spring break

you certainly will be missed

by my kids, no doubt

 

as for me, I’m ok

ready for a “normal” week

at least in theory

A little background…(so I guess I’m not wordless, huh?)…This adorable ball of fluff is Teddy.  He’s not mine (I wish he was!) he’s my mom’s.  He’s a 12 week old Pomeranian/Chihuahua.  My mom brought him and her other dog, Nacho, over on Sunday.  It’s really hard to get him to sit still, so I was really pleased when I was able to get this photo of him.

Weekend Recap April 8, 2008

We finally got the weather I had been waiting for last weekend. It was sunny, warm, and heavenly.  We spent almost all weekend outside.

On Saturday, we did some yardwork and the kids did a lot of playing. There wasn’t a lot to do with the yard.  Mostly raking that didn’t get done in the fall.  The kids had a ball.  It was really the first time they had played in our yard since we moved here (almost 4 months ago!). Taylor loved it so much that she never wanted to go inside! 

On Sunday, Doug set up a playset in the yard for the girls. We’ve had the thing for years…it had been in storage because our yard at our previous house wasn’t big enough for it…(I bought it for Aaron when he was 2)…they loved it.  Aaron was mad when he saw it, he thought we’d went out and bought it for them.  I told him that it was his.  He didn’t believe me until I pulled out my trusty rusty photo album…  :)  We also had our first barbeque of the year…with guests!  My brother, his girlfriend, and her sister stopped by and we decided to thow together an impromptu barbeque…it was a good thing that I had went grocery shopping earlier that day!

Yesterday turned out to be a really nice day, too.  The girls ambushed me at 9:45 in the morning wanting to go out and play.  We spent all day out yesterday, too, with the exception of Emma’s naptime.  I got some reading done…and that’s about it.

I got a lot of great photos, and seeing as I haven’t posted any lately…

Aaron “striking a pose”.  I really don’t have too many photos of him…he spent most of the weekend at friends’ houses.  He’s too cool to stay home with the ‘rents.

the kids are stuck in the house
it’s raining. yippee!

i’m sure it’ll be much worse

Odds and Ends April 3, 2008

Not much going on here.

It’s finally starting to warm up.

And by warm, I mean 55 degrees.

Not fabulous, but I don’t have to wear a winter coat outside, so that’s a plus.

It’s supposed to be in the 60’s by the weekend.

One can only hope.

The kids are officially on spring break now.

Nothing big planned.

I still have to babysit Miss J and Miss K most of next week, but I think I’m getting a long weekend.

I’m all for it.

Maybe I’ll take the kids to the park or something, if the rain holds out.

We’ll see what happens.

Still taking tons of photos, but unfortunately, my stone-age cpu isn’t equipped enough to even upload photos (from my new camera at least.)
