It’s a Hawt Mess Today

Wow.
Summer has arrived in Michigan.
Last week, we had a day that didn’t even reach 70 degrees, and today it’s 94 degrees.
To say it’s a little warm would be an understatement.
No worries, though, the kids and I are cool. Unfortunately, keeping cool means being shut up in my bedroom all day.
It’s not so bad really. We have tv (for the kids), internet (for me), drinks and snacks. Oh, did I mention it’s lovely in here? But the fact that I have a 50 pound kid jumping on my back makes me long for central air.
We’re dealing.
Although I’m starting to go a tad stir crazy.
So are the kids.
Oh well, we’ll live.
Sounds fun! It’s a little like camping in a tiny tent, right?

I think I said it on Facebook (or maybe I didn’t, I can’t remember), but welcome to my world! Summer down here sucks, with high humidity and temps in the mid 90’s every day. But then again, we have AC, which makes a big difference in this sort of weather. And I enjoy laughing at y’all when it starts snowing in October, so I guess I can deal with this.

I’m in Nashville right now. It has been HOT here too. I know how you feel. I’m embarrassed to say this…but I can’t imagine not having an air conditioner, but I guess in Michigan you don’t need one. I never really thought about that.
