We relayed all the symptoms to him and he still seems to think that Aaron is just having severe migraines. Supposedly, paralysis due to migraines is more common in children than adults.
But, anyhoo, to make sure all bases are covered, Aaron is scheduled for an MRI next week. They are going to look for any thing that could be causing these headaches. Specifically, they are looking for a Chiari Malformation (pronounced kee-r-ee).
So, if it turns out that he has this, it is treatable. He most likely would only need treatment if he wanted to participate in a contact sport like football or Karate.
Right now, he only participates in baseball, and that sport is on the “ok list”. I was concerned that he wouldn’t be able to play…sign ups are going on right now and he’s really excited for the beginning of the season (only 3 months away…yay spring!).
We’ll know more within a week of the MRI, so I’ll make sure to keep you posted. Cross your fingers, m’kay?
